Comment Luv

In the spirit of community, freedom and love, I’ve installed the Comment Luv plugin on this site. This will reward folks who leave good, relevant comments on my posts with Do Follow links back to their blog or site of choice. If you check the Comment Luv box and the link you leave in your information is to a blog, it will append the headline of your last blog entry. Cool huh? It’s something I do to give back to my readers a little back link reward.  I still read every comment and will trash the spam as usual but if you take the time to read a post and leave a good, relevant comment that adds to the discussion or humor, I will post your comment and you will get a valuable back link to your site.

So please, read a post, leave a good comment that actually has something to do with the subject matter at hand and I will be happy to help you promote your site or blog. The only thing I ask is that you don’t leave simple one word comments or something generic and expect me to post it. Blogs are supposed to be stopping points in a community and if you treat my blog with respect by leaving a good comment, I have no problem posting what you have to say.

Hall of Shame of Irrelevant Comments

I get so many funny irrelevant comments that I wanted to list a few of them here so that you can see what I consider spam. I’m not stupid, contrary to what my ex-wife says, I can at least tell if what you leave as a comment is truly relevant to the conversation or not. Hey, look, I get it. You are looking around for numerous places to leave your back links, that’s fine but if you think for a second that I’m going to junk up my site that I work very hard on with drivel like what you see below, you are sadly mistaken.

1. “Well I truly liked reading it. This post procured by you is very helpful for accurate planning.” ((Accurate planning? This was left on the post about owling. It has nothing to do with planning and surely not anything to do with the accuracy of such an endeavor. “This post procured by me”??? I didn’t procure the post, I took the time to write it and you didn’t take the time to write your comment so here it is in the hall of shame.))

2. “Your words here ring truthful. I praise you for such time saving tips as I can work it now.” (( Umm, WHAT? I mean, did you even read the headlines here? I don’t ring anything truthful, brother. I usually write silly stuff. Please don’t praise me, my post will not save you of anything but maybe boredom and I’m glad you can work it now but I don’t want to even know about that.))

3. “Thanks for that awesome posting. It saved MUCH time ” HAHAHA! It saved you much time? But the whole point of writing it was to waste time! DARNIT! I actually get a ton of these with the exact same message so I’m sure it’s a spam bot sending them. Still, the never fail to keep me laughing. Thank you Spam Bot!
